A method for sending a message from a telecommunication device to a mobile telecommunication network communicating with the telecommunication device and a plurality of other telecommunication devices, wherein the telecommunication device determines a sending time in a way to reduce or avoid collisions with messages sent from the other telecommunication devices, and wherein the telecommunication device uses time information that is synchronous with the other telecommunication devices as a time reference for the timing of the sending. The invention also comprises a module of integrated circuits, a telecommunication device, and a machine-readable medium. The invention optimizes network resources when a large number of telecommunication devices causing low average network load need to be supported. The invention reduces the probability of colliding messages that are sent to the mobile telecommunication network.
