PURPOSE: An electrochemical capacitor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to evenly dope lithium on an electrode material and optimize the amount of a lithium ion by controlling the thickness of a lithium layer. CONSTITUTION: A lithium ion capacitor comprises an plurality of first electrodes(10,10A) and a second electrode(20) which are faced each other faced and a separation film(30). The first electrode and the second electrode are placed to be faced each other. The separation film is arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode. One or more first electrodes are made of an electrode material and dope a lithium ion.
