<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extruder designed to save energy and reduction in carbon dioxide emission in a low-carbon type material processing process, in particular a polymer forming process including compounding and granulation, having high pressurization extrusion capacity and kneading dispersion performance and excellent feed performance and vent performance and achieving advanced energy-saving and compact characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In the four-screw extruder, self-cleaning performance of an engagement-type multi-screw extruder rotating in the same direction is maximized, and four double screws are arranged endlessly without cores so that axial centers of the double screws are positioned at corners of a square, so as to form four engagement regions in a middle center region of the screw configuration. The engagement region per unit screw is set to be approximately one and half times as large as that of a double-screw extruder, and an inside pump is constituted by a chain-shaped cell structure formed in a center region of the four screws. This four-shaft drive device is simple and compact by applying an internal gear as an intermediary of rotating power, and reduces transmission loss of the rotating power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
