<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device capable of readily resuming the driving by a rotational drive unit that has been stopped. <P>SOLUTION: This dial switch 100 (input device) comprises a rotatable operational unit 1, an ultrasonic motor 14 capable of rotating the operational unit 1 at a desired rotational speed, an optical encoder 16 that detects the rotational speed of the operational unit 1, and an MPU 20a that, when no rotation of the operational unit 1 is detected by the optical encoder 16 in a state of controlling the rotation of the operational unit 1 with the ultrasonic motor 14, exercises control to stop the driving by the ultrasonic motor 14 and, in a prescribed case, to cause the stopped driving by the ultrasonic motor 14 to be resumed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
