发明名称 METHOD FOR STRIPPING VOLTAMETRIC DETERMINATION OF IRIDIUM IN NITRITE MEDIUM
摘要 FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method for stripping voltametric determination of iridium in a nitrite medium involves its electrochemical reduction to metal on a mercury film or carbon electrode, followed by electrochemical stripping of the reduced iridium and plotting the current-voltage curve. Concentration of iridium (III) in the nitrite solution is determined from the value of the anodic peak of electrochemical stripping of preliminarily reduced iridium. The background electrolyte used is methanoic acid. Electrochemical stripping of the reduced iridium is carried out while varying potential of the working mercury film or carbon electrode at a rate of 50 mV/s and the current-voltage curve is plotted. For a mercury film electrode, the determined iridium (III) concentration is in the 0.0005-0.1000 mg/l range, and 0.0010-1.5000 mg/l for a carbon electrode. The analytical signal for iridium is the height of the anodic peak of electrochemical stripping Ir (0) on the current-voltage curve in the region of potential values ranging from 0.1 to 1.0 V. ^ EFFECT: invention enables to determine iridium from a solution of its nitrite complex without advance preparation, with high sensitivity while cutting duration of analysis. ^ 1 tbl
