<p>A method for permitting a user to perform a mixed input in Chinese and English is disclosed. The method comprises: input sequence information provided by the user is obtained; and an English word in the input sequence information is recognized locally or through a network device connected with the user device; one or more matched input entry options are obtained according to a relation between the English word and a context, and then are provided to the user. Preferably, this solution supports a continuous input of English words, that is, an automatic segmentation of a plurality of adjacent English words in the user input sequence is implemented by blank intervals, and the input entry options are provided for the user selection. A device for permitting a user to perform a mixed input in Chinese and English is also disclosed. Compared with prior arts, this solution permits the user to input the English word directly when using input methods, such as QuanPin, ShuangPin et al., and then input options which are entirely Chinese or combine Chinese with the English word are obtained, without switching between input modes of Chinese and English, thereby input efficiency is improved.</p> |
