<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switchgear which prevents an electric shock by sensing entering of a maintenance person or intrusion of a small animal when the door of the switchgear is opened, and issuing a warning in voice or an alarm with a buzzer. <P>SOLUTION: The switchgear is obtained by serially connecting to a power source: a switch provided so as to interlock with opening and closing of the door of the switchgear and comprising a contact which is turned on when the door is opened; a sensor provided inside the switchgear and comprising a contact which is turned on when the sensor senses an object having intruded into the switchgear; a switch comprising a contact which is turned on while a drawer-type breaker disposed in the switchgear is drawn out; and a relay.
