摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TAMR head capable of enhancing recording density. <P>SOLUTION: A TAMR device includes a slider having a TE mode LD, a WG, an SGPG, and a PMP in a sequence. The SGPG is divided into first to third region parts S1 to S3, that are interconnected and aligned from the LD side toward ABS side. Each region part includes a pair of metallic portions 22A, 22B, that are opposing to each other by a gap 22G in a track width direction. The separation distance of the pair of metallic portions 22A, 22B in the X axis direction decreases both when going from the WG-facing surface toward the PMP-facing surface as well as when going towards the ABS along the Z axis direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
