<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for object detection which detect objects in photographic image and projected image. <P>SOLUTION: The object detection method comprises the steps of: obtaining detection results of various kinds obtained by object detection methods of various kinds; setting probabilities of detection results relative to the detection method according to the predetermined detection accuracy of each detection method; calculating a distribution map of movement frequency indicating movement frequencies of each pixel at a current frame image from the detection results of a moving object of multiple frames involving the current frame; filtering the object detected from a preceding frame by the distribution map of movement frequency and obtaining a detection result of the preceding frame after the filtering; updating the probabilities of the detection results of various kinds by overlapping the detection results of various kinds and the detection result of the preceding frame after the filtering; and determining the final list of objects based on the probabilities of the updated detection results of various kinds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
