<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic control structure which can reduce cost and facilitate maintenance by reducing the number of dampers while improving a seismic control efficiency as a whole building. <P>SOLUTION: In the side view of the seismic control structure, wires 3 are stretched tightly in a state where they intersect with each other diagonally in a building 2. Both bottom edges 3a are fixed to a building foundation 2b. Each top edge of the wires 3 is wound around pulleys 6 supported in the top part 2b of the building and is connected through a rotary inertia mass damper 4 fixed to the building 2. At the intersection T of the wires 3, a damping sleeve 5 is provided, through which each of the wires 3b and 3c, extending diagonally, is slidably inserted, which has a damping mechanism inside its insertion hole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
