<p>Provided is an actuator which is formed of a superelastic material that requires a low heating temperature, has a high durability, and requires no composition adjustment. The actuator (1) includes a movable member which can move in two directions, i.e., one and the other directions, and a pair of linear members which are made of a superelastic alloy and attached to the movable member to extend in the two respective directions, the pair of linear members each having the same tension. To allow the movable member to rest at a predetermined position in the one direction from a neutral position, the movable member is loaded in the one direction and thereafter unloaded. To return the movable member to the neutral position from the predetermined position in the one direction, the movable member is loaded in the other direction and thereafter unloaded.</p> |
