<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustible gas detector having multiple exothermic resistors, with improved accuracy for detecting abnormalities on the exothermic resistors. <P>SOLUTION: For a normal operation period (0 to T1 and T3 to T1'), the concentration of a combustible gas X1 in a target atmosphere is detected using a primary exothermic resistor 341; only for a detection operation period (T1 to T3 and T1' to T3') the concentration of a gas X2 is detected using also a secondary exothermic resistor 342; and whether or not an abnormality occurs on the primary exothermic resistor 341 is determined by comparing both of the detection results X1 and X2. Moreover, only the primary exothermic resistor 341 is turned on for the normal operation period, and the energization for the primary exothermic resistor 341 and the secondary exothermic resistor 342 is controlled so that when one resistor is turned on, the other resistor is turned off for the detection operation period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
