<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely determine the front and back of a product to be supplied and different types of products even if geometries of the products vary with time. <P>SOLUTION: A product determination method comprises: a first step (101) to store a contour of an original product as an initial template; a second step to compare the contour of a product supplied sequentially with an initial template and calculate a concordance rate of the contour as a first concordance rate; a third step to determine the product to be good if the first concordance rate is equal to or greater than a first threshold; a fourth step to change the initial template to an updated template when the first concordance rate is less than a second threshold set greater than the first threshold; a fifth step to compare the updated template with the initial template, make the concordance rate into a second concordance rate and, if the second concordance rate is equal to or greater than a third threshold, return to the second step and, if the second concordance rate is less than a third threshold, to stop template updating and finish product determination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
