<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb for improving the measurement precision of an air flow measurement instrument by suppressing swirling flow in a flow passage and reducing a variance of a flow velocity distribution to flatten the distribution, which enhances a flow-straightening effect and suppresses wear and noise of plates constituting the honeycomb and is capable of narrowing an installation space from a measurement instrument, and to provide an air duct incorporating the same. <P>SOLUTION: The honeycomb comprises an internal partitioning plate 2 for partitioning an air duct in parallel with an inner wall 4 of the air duct and a plurality of radial partitioning plates 1 and 3 extending from the inner wall 4 of the air duct and the internal partitioning plate 2 toward the center of the air duct and has such a structure that hydraulic average depths of cells 12i and 12n divided by respective partitioning plates 1, 2, and 3 and the inner wall 4 of the air duct are approximately uniform among all cells constituting the honeycomb. Furthermore, wear and noise due to friction between the partitioning plates can be eliminated by fixing crossing portions 7a and corner portions of the partitioning plates to each other by welding or caulking processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
