The device (1) has a pressure module (5) arranged on a top surface of a print material (3) for printing images on a front side of the print material. A deflecting device (13) deflects the print material around 180 degrees. Another pressure module (6) is arranged behind the deflecting device on the top surface of the print material for printing the images on a back side of the print material. A drying unit (9) is arranged in the device for successively drying the printed images. The pressure modules are designed as an ink pressure module or an electrographic pressure module. An independent claim is also included for a method for reciprocal printing of an endless print material by a printing device.
