<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel material identification system capable of eliminating a human error. <P>SOLUTION: The steel material identification system has a steel material management device which is used in a factory where a heating furnace for steel materials is arranged and stores predetermined feeding plan data including steel material information of steel materials of an order to be fed into the heating furnace, and a terminal device which transmits data inputted by an operator to the steel material management device, receives data from the steel material management device and displays the data. In the steel material identification system, the operator inputs steel material information displayed in steel materials conveyed to a feeding position of the heating furnace in the terminal device, the terminal device generates data before feeding including the inputted steel material information, and transmits the data before feeding to the steel material management device, the steel material management device collates the data before feeding transmitted from the terminal device with the feeding plan data, determines whether the steel material information of the data before feeding coincides with the steel material information of the feeding plan data, and the steel material management device transmits to the terminal part that steel materials located at the steel material feeding position is suitable steel materials when the steel material information coincides with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
