<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that can efficiently change a control form in changing the control form of a control part. <P>SOLUTION: In a first deep sleep mode operated by a sub CPU 13, when a processing load is larger than a predetermined processing load (S110:YES), a mode of operation is transferred to a second deep sleep mode by starting a main CPU 11 in S113.
