<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and sanitary tatami mat having high waterproofness and quick-drying performance so as to be usable when it can get wet. <P>SOLUTION: The tatami mat 1 of this invention comprises a tatami facing 3 woven from resin fiber, a tatami bed 11 including a surface material 5 composed of a hollow resin plate, a core material 7 composed of a resin foam material, and a rear surface material 9 composed of a hollow resin plate, and sewing yarns S1 and S2 composed of resin fiber.
