Provided is a laminated polyester film as a protective material for the rear surface of a solar cell, which has excellent resistance to hydrolysis, and excellent adhesion to a solar cell encapsulating resin. The laminated polyester film as a protective material for the rear surface of a solar cell is a laminated polyester film having the polyester (A) layer below in at least one of the outermost layers, and contains the polyester (B) layer below in at least one of the layers. The amount of terminal carboxyl groups in the laminated polyester film is not more than 26 eq/ton. The laminated polyester film has a coating layer formed on at least one surface of the polyester (A) layer from a polyurethane having a polycarbonate skeleton and/or a polyether skeleton, and a crosslinking agent. · Polyester (A) layer: a layer comprising a polyester having an aromatic polyester as the main constituent, and containing less than 8 wt% of white pigment · Polyester (B) layer: a layer comprising a polyester having an aromatic polyester as the main constituent, and containing at least 8 wt% of white pigment |
