SCROLL-TYPE EXPANDER IMPROVED THERMAL EFFICIENCY

PURPOSE: A scroll expander having improved thermal efficiency is provided to prevent heat loss by additionally forming an insulation member between a housing and a fixed scroll. CONSTITUTION: A scroll expander having improved thermal efficiency comprises a housing, a fixed scroll(120), a rotary scroll(130), drive shafts(140), and insulation members(160,170). A cooling path(118) is formed on the outer surface of the housing. The fixed scroll is fixed to the inside the housing. The rotary scroll is engaged with the fixed scroll and has one or more expansion pockets. The rotary scroll expands working fluid flowing into the housing. The drive shafts are connected to both sides of the rotary scroll through scroll holders(150) and drive the rotary shaft. The insulation members are formed between the fixed scroll and the housing and prevent heat loss.
