摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately detect a floating height of a recording medium by restraining a flow of air around the detecting optical axis in an inkjet recording apparatus.SOLUTION: In this paper floating detection apparatus 300, a light projection unit 310 and a light receiving unit 320 are arranged to face each other across a conveyance path of a conveyance means for holding paper on a conveyance surface 41a and conveying the paper in the predetermined conveyance direction while causing the paper to face droplet discharge heads 44C, 44M, 44Y and 44K so that the optical axis of the detection light L emitted from the light projection unit 310 and received by the light receiving unit 320, becomes substantially vertical in the conveyance direction. Thus, the paper floating detection apparatus 300 detects floating of the paper from a conveyance surface 41a by detecting that the conveyed paper intercepts the detection light L. A windshield guide 330 for preventing the inflow of the air having a temperature difference of a degree of having influence on the optical axis, is arranged around the optical axis of the detection light L.
