Provided are active shutter glasses and a stereo image recognition system capable of freely setting a direction of each structure of the shutter part. Disclosed are active shutter glasses for a stereo image recognition system, and the active shutter glasses have a shutter part for the right eye and a shutter part for the left eye, and the shutter part for the right eye and the shutter part for the left eye have a liquid crystal layer and a linear polarization element respectively, and at least one of the shutter part for the right eye and the shutter part for the left eye has a layer for converting the vibration direction of polarization light, and the linear polarization element is provided further outside than the liquid crystal layer, and the layer for converting a vibration direction of the polarization light is provided further outside than the linear polarization element.
