PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve joining strength and durability of a ground electrode in an ignition plug for joining the separate ground electrode to primary metal fitting.SOLUTION: The ignition plug includes the primary metal fitting 1 having a through-hole 6 penetrated in an axial direction, an insulator 2 having a shaft hole 9 extended in the axial direction and mounted on the through-hole 6 of the primary metal fitting 1, a center electrode 3 mounted on a pointed head side of the shaft hole 9 of the insulator 2, and a ground electrode 4 wherein a base end 4a is arranged on the primary metal fitting 1 and the other end is faced to the center electrode 3 via a gap. The ignition plug has stop metal fitting 5 arranged by being adjoined to the base end 4a of the ground electrode 4, and the base end 4a of the ground electrode 4 is fixed between the stop metal fitting 5 and the primary metal fitting 1. |
