The timber plank (2) has a rectangular cross-section with a width and a height. Two grooves (4a,4b) and two plugs (5a,5b) are formed on the side surfaces of the width in each case, which enable assembling of the timber planks. The outer groove-plug connection is designed such that an assembling groove (7) remains in the width of a central groove (6) in the assembled condition.
