摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seated person detecting system that can accurately detect whether a person is seated and a body shape of the seated person, and can stably detect the seated person even when being disturbed such as when a seat is wet. SOLUTION: The system includes a detection electrode 75 provided to the seat of a vehicle and a phase difference measuring unit 4 for supplying a reference signal S<SB>0</SB>including a sine wave to the detection electrode via a resistive element, detecting a potential of the detection electrode as an electrode signal S<SB>1</SB>, and measuring a phase delay time length T<SB>A</SB>of the electrode signal S<SB>1</SB>with respect to the reference signal S<SB>0</SB>. The system further includes a direct current measuring unit 5 for supplying a constant direct current voltage to the detection electrode 75 via a resistive element, detecting the potential of the detection electrode, and for measuring a time length from the supply of the direct current voltage until the detection electrode reaches a predetermined potential as a charging time length T<SB>C</SB>, and a detecting unit for detecting the seated person based on the phase delay time length T<SB>A</SB>and the charging time length T<SB>C</SB>by using the phase difference measuring unit 4 and the direct current measuring unit 5.
