摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route planning device capable of presenting to a user, a route for mitigating such a risk that a charging stand for an electric vehicle cannot be reached, while reducing a processing load. <P>SOLUTION: This route planning device calculates a minimum cost route from a present position to a destination (S002), retrieves beforehand a charging stand in the periphery of the minimum cost route, calculates a waypoint (middle point) for guiding to the retrieved charging stand, and calculates beforehand a guide route and a power consumption from the waypoint to a facility (S003). The electric vehicle is guided to the facility corresponding to a result acquired by comparing, during traveling, the sum of a power consumption required for traveling from an own vehicle position to the waypoint and the power consumption required for traveling from the waypoint to the facility which is calculated beforehand with a battery residual amount of the electric vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
