PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a physical load on an inspector in a probe operation, while directly transmitting the operation intention of the inspector to the probe. SOLUTION: A probe operation assisting device 10 includes: an arm unit 11 for holding the probe P so as to act to move the probe P in a prescribed space; a grip part 12 and a force detecting part 40, which detect the direction and largeness of force imparted to the probe P from the inspector K in the probe operation; and a driving control part 41 for controlling the action of the arm unit 11 in response to the detection result of the grip part 12 and the force detecting part 40. The driving control part 41 controls the action of the arm unit 11, thereby to pressurize the body surface part of a subject H by the probe P in a state where the force is amplified in the direction of the force imparted to the probe P.
