PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure certain level of image quality by using a treating agent even when the remaining amount of treating agent is low. SOLUTION: When the remaining amount of treating agent is less than a predetermined value (the first level amount) (S31:Yes), a part (a part where prevention of ink blur and ink seep, etc., are regarded as important) of an image to be formed on each sheet is extracted as a specific image portion (S33). When a second level in a limited mode recording is selected (S35), the treating agent is applied to an image forming region on paper such that a first section (a section where the specific image portion is formed) has the same aspect as normal mode recording and a second section (a section where non-specific image portion is formed) has a predetermined density lower than that in normal mode recording.
