The booster (1) has a master brake cylinder (10) comprising a drive (31) and a pressure piston (11) that is coupled with the drive by a transferring unit, where braking force transferred to the pressure piston is amplified by brake pedals. The transferring unit comprises a toggle lever pinion (34), where the pinion stays in active connection with the pressure piston and produces displacement of the pressure piston in the master brake cylinder. The toggle lever pinion comprises four toggle levers (20-23) and a cable that is coupled with the drive.
