<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use a communication band assigned to each packet processing circuit concerning a relay device including a plurality of packet processing circuits with respect to one port. <P>SOLUTION: The relay device includes: a plurality of ports; a plurality of reception-side circuits arranged at each port; a plurality of transmission-side circuits arranged at each port; a distribution part to assign relay processing to the reception-side circuits and the transmission-side circuits according to the header information of unit data which is inputted to the ports from an external part; and a flow storage part for storing a flow table where the reception-side circuits and transmission-side circuits assigned by the distribution part by each header information and the ports from which the unit data are transmitted are registered. The reception-side circuit transmits the unit data inputted to an own circuit to the prescribed transmission-side circuit of the prescribed port according to the content of the flow table.
