Class 38(5) [Also in Group XI] In a lamp fitting suitable for the interior lighting of vehicles, the insulating translucent channel-shaped cover 10, Fig. 3, normally separates a spring-contact member 9 from the earthed casing 4. When the cover 10 is moved into the dotted position, Fig. 2, the contact 9 engages the casing 4 to complete a circuit to the lamp 7 which is mounted between two spring blades 5, 6. The blade 6 is fixed to the contact strip 9 and also to a terminal 12 which may be connected to earth by another switch (not shown). The cover 10 pivots about a projection 10a and is held in place by spring blades. Its movement is normally limited by projections 10d, 4b, but these may be made to pass each other by squeezing the walls of the cover, and the cover then entirely removed. |
