The method is used for cleaning of waste gases generated during burning of fuel in internal-combustion engines, airplane and ship engines, fuel installations and other sources of greenhouse gases. Itprovides high efficiency of the elimination of harmful emissions and their transformation into non-toxic products. The method includes injection of reducer in a waste gases flow, and according to theinvention the reducer is fine-grain metal powder formed inside the flow from waste gases by means of powdering of metal rods or strips by rotating abrasive discs, while the quantity of the fine-grainmetal powder exceeds the stoichiometrically required one. The preferable size of the fine-grain metal powder particles is from 0.1 to 1000 nm. The fine-grain metal powder has been selected from the group of metals with reducer properties: magnesium, iron, aluminium, zinc, individually or as combinations, or alloys thereof. One of the preferred variants for execution of the invention provides thatafter the treatment of the gases with fine-grain metal powder, the flow passes through an oxidizing catalyst-filter trapping the solid particles and oxidizing the carbohydrates and carbon dioxide in the waste gases.
