PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep pressure of liquid to be supplied to an ejection head constant by a pressure regulating valve and also to enable pressure-cleaning. SOLUTION: The liquid ejecting apparatus is provided with a bypass channel separate from a channel to supply the liquid to the ejection head through the pressure regulating valve. When ejecting the liquid, the liquid is supplied to the ejection head by using the channel through the pressure regulating valve, whereby supply pressure of ink is appropriately adjusted. When performing the pressure-cleaning, the pressured liquid is supplied to the ejection head by using the bypass channel. Therefore, the inside of the ejection head is pressurized, and the liquid whose character is deteriorated is discharged to the outside of the ejection head. Thus, the pressure-cleaning is performed.
