PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strobe device in which noise generated when moving a light emitting means is reduced. SOLUTION: The strobe device includes a driving device 6 that moves the light emitting means 4 in a direction where the light emitting means 4 contacts with/separates from an optical member 5. The driving device 6 includes a driving motor 14, a screw shaft 15 coupled with an output shaft of the driving motor 14 and extending in a moving direction of the light emitting means 4, and a slider 16 screwed on the screw shaft 15. Either the light emitting means 4 or the slider 16 is provided with a pair of first magnets 18 and 19 arranged by leaving space in between in a direction where the screw shaft 15 extends. The other of them is provided with a second magnet 20 arranged between the pair of first magnets 18 and 19. The pair of first magnets 18 and 19 is arranged in a state where different magnetic poles are opposed to each other, and the second magnet 20 is arranged in such a manner that the magnetic poles thereof are opposed to the same magnetic poles of the first magnets 18 and 19.
