PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element excellent in luminous efficiency, and capable of restraining color shift even if it is driven for a long time under high-temperature environment. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element is provided with a light-emitting layer including a blue light-emitting layer containing a blue light-emitting material consisting of a host material and a styryl compound, and a yellow or red light-emitting layer containing a host material and a yellow or red light-emitting material, and capable of emitting white color light, and a host material layer adjoining to either the blue light-emitting layer or the yellow or red light-emitting layer, and consisting of the same host material contained in the light-emitting layer adjoining to the blue light-emitting layer or the yellow or red light-emitting layer.
