PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can pick up the image of a person such as a driver in a vehicle as a high quality of moving image, by reducing the influence of the light reflected on a windshield due to sunlight or the like, even with respect to a vehicle whose windshield angle is different. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes a plurality of cameras, whose installation positions and the polarization angles of polarizing filters that are mounted on their image-pickup face sides are optimized, in order to minimize the light reflected on a windshield with any angle at any vehicle position in an image-pickup area, and configured to measure the windshield angle of the vehicle and the vehicle position, select the optimal camera with respect to the windshield angle of the vehicle and the vehicle position from among the plurality of cameras based on the measured windshield angle and vehicle position, and obtain a moving image from the selected camera.
