PURPOSE: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided to suppress the reductive degradation in a negative electrode even if preserved for at long time at a high temperature. CONSTITUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a positive electrode; a negative electrode including a negative electrode active material; a separator arranged between both electrodes thereof; and a nonaqueous liquid electrolyte in which a solute is dissolved in the non-aqueous solvent. The nonaqueous liquid electrolyte is represented by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, n is the integer of 2-6; and R is linear saturated hydrocarbon and can have various substituents.
