PURPOSE: Home appliances using a smart grid are provided to divide a power supply mode into a general mode and an energy saving mode according to the amount of supplying power, thereby reducing the amount of consumed power. CONSTITUTION: A power managing network includes an AMI(Advanced Metering infrastructure)(20) and an EMS(Energy Management System)(30). The costs for power and electricity supplied to the AMI are calculated in real time. The EMS manages power of a consumed site and predicts the amount of consumed power in real time. The EMS includes a controller(34), an input unit(32), a communication unit(33), and a display unit(31). A home appliance communication unit(70) receives power supply information.
