PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a most suitable image individually in different locations in remote medical care using an electronic endoscope. SOLUTION: An electronic endoscope system includes: an electronic endoscope having a first image processing part generating an observation image based on an image signal outputted from an imaging element and a radio module transmitting the image signal outputted from the imaging element directly or after image processing by the first image processing part by radio; and a reception device having a radio module receiving the image signal transmitted by radio from the electronic endoscope and a second image processing part generating an observation image based on the received image signal. The electronic endoscope includes a first input means for inputting an instruction to control image processing in the first image processing part, and transmits the image signal before the image processing based on the control by the first input means to the reception device.
