A security laminate for securing a security document comprising: a) a biaxially stretched polyethylene terephthalate support; and b) a thermosensitive layer coated on the support; wherein the thermosensitive layer contains a binder, a substantially light-insensitive organic silver salt, an organic reducing agent and a toning agent selected from the group consisting of phthalimides, phthalazinones, benzoxazine diones and naphthoxazine diones. Methods for manufacturing security documents are also disclosed. |
