BATTERY MODULE, BATTERY BOX, AND RAILWAY VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH THE BATTERY BOX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery box installable in an environment having cooling air containing dust, facilitating mounting and dismounting of a battery module and excellent in maintenance, and a railway vehicle equipped with the battery box.

SOLUTION: The battery box 1 includes a first member 20 disposed on one side of a container chamber 2, and a second member 30 disposed on the other side of the container chamber 2 and holding a plurality of battery modules 10 between the first member 20 and the second member 30. An inlet 21 airtightly communicating with an air intake 11 open to one end of the battery module 10 to supply air thereto is provided in the first member 20. An outlet 31 airtightly communicating with an exhaust port 12 open to the other end of the battery module 10 to discharge air supplied into the battery module 10 from the inlet 21 outside is provided in the second member 30. At least one of the first member 20 and the second member 30 is detachably provided on one side or the other side of the container chamber 2.
