PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel in which contact of a barrier blade with a lens is prevented, and to provide a camera. SOLUTION: The lens barrel 10 includes: the barrier blade 50 opening/closing in a direction crossing with an optical axis OA of photographic optical systems L1, L2 and L3; an optical system-holding frame 16 having a first surface 16Aa provided in the direction crossing with the optical axis OA, and capable of relatively moving in a direction along the optical axis OA to the barrier blade 50 while holding the optical system L1; and an interlocking plate 44 having a second surface 44Cd capable of relatively moving to the first surface 16Aa, and opening/closing the barrier blade 50 by rotating with the optical axis OA as center. In the first surface 16Aa, it is possible to move in the direction of the optical axis OA without abutting on the second surface 44Cd in a state where the barrier blade 50 is opened, and movement in the direction of the optical axis OA is restricted by abutting on the second surface 44Cd in a state where the barrier blade 50 is closed.
