<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device which can achieve a further improvement in operability. <P>SOLUTION: A cellular phone includes: a plurality of operation detecting units, and a controlling unit which inputs, upon detection of an operation by any one of the operation detecting units, a letter assigned to the operation detecting unit which has detected the operation. The controlling unit changes input rules of the letters assigned respectively to the plurality of different operation detecting units which have detected operations between a case in which the operations are detected by the plurality of different operation detecting units outside a predetermined time interval and a case in which the operations are detected by the plurality of different operation detecting units within the predetermined time interval. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
