PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for acquiring communication terminal information, even concerning a non-LLDP-compliant communication terminal. SOLUTION: A relay apparatus makes inquiries to a product server arranged on the outside of a LAN about a learned MAC address when learning the MAC address of the connected communication terminal. When the MAC address inquired from the relay apparatus is found in the database of a self server, the product server returns the communication terminal information corresponding to the MAC address to the relay apparatus of an inquiry source.
