<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device for allowing a user to obtain a print status while simply confirming a print image, in printing an image included in a slide show during slide show display control. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device is provided with: a selection means 42 for selecting an image 52 to be displayed on a display device 22 during slide show, as a print object; an output means 44 for outputting information on a print image to a printer 38; a print detection means 46 for detecting a print status of the output image 52; and a preview image creation means 48 for creating a preview image 56 of the print image 52. The preview image 56 is added to the slide show. The display modes of the preview image 56 in the slide show are changed according to the print status.The image 52 to be printed can be directly selected during slide-show display control.
