Thiadiazole derivatives as antidiabetic agents

Disclosed is a 1,1,4-trioxo-1,2,5-thiadiazolidin-2-yl)compound of the formula (I) wherein Q combined together with the carbon atoms to which it is attached form an aromatic, or a aliphatic carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring; R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 is as defined in the specification. Also disclosed is the use of said compound for the treatment of insulin resistance, glucose intolerance, type 2 diabetes, diabetic renal insufficiency, diabetic nephropathy, diabetic retinopathy or obesity.
