PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the elevation of a temperature in an imaging window portion in an oral camera. SOLUTION: An oral camera includes an illumination control section 24 for controlling illuminance of an illumination section 23, and a lightness detecting means for detecting subject information from an imaging section 10b. A control section 22 sets the illuminance of the illumination section 23 based on the amount of change in lightness of the subject information detected by the lightness detecting means at the time when the illumination control section 24 changes the illuminance of a subject from the illumination section 23.
