The apparatus (1) has a transport device provided around a cargo (4) of a load cell (5). A decoupling unit decouples the cargo from the transport device, during weighing a cargo. A ramp (6) lifts the cargo from the transport device, where the cell is arranged under the ramp. The transport device has a transport plate (2) that comprises recesses, where the cargo is inserted into the plate, which is driven by a servo-motor. The ramp has a ramp portion and another ramp portion that is arranged parallel to the former ramp portion. A retention device (11) is adapted to the contour of the cargo.
