GAS SAFETY VALVE LOCKING SYSTEM AND METHOD THE SAME, IN CASE OF AN EARTHQUAKE OCCURRENCE

PURPOSE: System and method for closing a gas valve in times of earthquake are provided to selectively close gas valves by comparing current earthquake intensity with a predetermined value if earthquake occurs. CONSTITUTION: A method for closing a gas valve in times of earthquake comprises next steps. Current earthquake intensity is compared with a first earthquake intensity(S301). If the current earthquake intensity is below the first earthquake intensity, the current earthquake intensity is again compared with the first earthquake intensity(S302). If the current earthquake intensity is over the first earthquake intensity, a first gas valve is closed(S304). If the gas valve is closed, then the current earthquake intensity is compared with a second earthquake intensity(S307).
