A sling for use in treating anal incontinence comprising a central portion having a generally hyperbolic paraboloid shape structured to be positioned posteriorly to the rectum and/or anus of a patient to at least two arms extending therefrom, wherein a first curve of the hyperbolic paraboloid shaped central portion allows the sling to arc between obturator regions and a second curve of the hyperbolic paraboloid shaped central portion complements the patient's ano-rectal angle. c~ 11 |
